On Thursday 20 July join us as we dip into the wall of wine to taste some the incredible modern wines of Germany.
Hosted by Fabian Haegele, founder of Sisyphos Wines, you'll enjoy a five course menu from Head Chef Blaze Young paired with five wines that go way beyond just Riesling.
Sisyphos Fine Wines has one of the most extensive portfolios of German wines in Australia. Riesling still reigns supreme in Germany's cool climates, but with climate change in play there has been a renaissance of Pinot Noir and Burgundian varieties, which have a rich history along the river Rhine. Fabian's mission to showcase the fantastic diversity of German wines, shining a spotlight on some of the most cutting-edge family-owned and operated producers his native country has to offer.
Every year he travels to Germany in search of unique wines that are farmed sustainably - wines with personality and character, that express their terroir and vintage.
